Nice myspace.com (new) preview. Not a site I’d probably use, but, based on how good this teaser video looks, I can see people signing up and building profiles. To me, it looks better than either Facebook or Google+ (aka Ghosttown+), and it doesn’t really try to occupy the same space as tumblr.
It’s always going to be worth remembering that Rupert Murdoch bought myspace for $580 million in 2005, and sold it to Justin Timberlake and other investors for $35 million in 2011. And this is what the new owners are planning to relaunch. The brand is damaged goods, but it will be interesting to see if a good design can overcome the baggage of its legacy.
